Party Poker's promotion called Pokerfest will pay out a total of $2.4 million in guaranteed tournaments. We’re now into the fourth year of the Full Tilt saga where some American players are still waiting to receive their funds.

The overall cash game online poker traffic numbers fell for the fifth consecutive time. PokerStars has reaffirmed its place as the biggest poker site boasting more players than the next 10 most popular poker sites.

The top 10 poker sites rankings remain unchanged from last week. Bodog now has more players than all of its other US competitors combined and is becoming one of the biggest poker sites worldwide.

The worldwide online poker cash game market dipped by a total of 7% this week, giving back most of the 10% gain it delivered the week before.

The Canadian online poker market is considered by many to be a “grey market”. Canadians wonder if PokerStars will pull out of the market like some operator already did.

PokerStars rolled out their version of lottery sit and go’s which they called “spin and go”. PartyPoker has recently upped the ante and now will offer casual cash games up to $10/$20 NL.

Overall online poker traffic dipped a further 2.6%, sliding for the 11th straight week. Only one of the top 10 poker sites showed an increase in traffic with the other 9 experiencing a decline.

Worldwide online poker traffic is down a further 3% this week, adding to the 4% loss last week and making this the 6th consecutive week the market has declined.

Overall online poker traffic fell for the fourth week in a row, this time by a full percentage point.  Year over year, traffic is still down 15% from where it was this time a year ago.

The worldwide online poker market continues to grow year after year. There are literally hundreds of online poker sites to choose from and where you play does matter, and matters a lot actually.
