The overall cash game online poker traffic numbers fell for the fifth consecutive time this week, this time putting in a more significant 2% loss. The decline was also very broad based as 9 of the top 10 sites fell with only 1 putting in a positive number.
As was the case last week, the rankings were unchanged. PokerStars has reaffirmed its place as the biggest poker site boasting more players than the next 10 most popular poker sites and networks. Bodog continues to put pressure on iPoker for third place and are now neck in neck with them at 1800 average players, with both sites being well behind 888’s 2500 average players, and of course everyone being way behind PokerStars’ massive lead with 18,500 average players.
Once again, the market is off its year over year numbers by 13%, where we’ve been stuck at for a few weeks, although all of these weeks have been down ones, so in spite of the decline we haven’t lost any ground over last year’s figures at this time of the year.
