The online poker market rebounded from it’s 1% loss this week to put in a 2% gain this week. UK stock listed bookmaker and online gambling operator William Hill has made a bid to acquire 888 Holdings.

Winamax and Pokerstars have shared dominance of the French online poker market but PartyPoker and iPoker have been making some good gains lately. More Full Tilt repayments set to be made soon.

Overall traffic fell by 3% this week, giving back the 3% gain that we saw accumulated over the past 2 weeks. Compared to this week last year, traffic is now down 10% over last year’s levels.

PokerStars broke out a new promotion called the Summer Daily Challenge. Full Tilt has implemented Rush Poker week. Swiss officials expressed an interest in moving toward regulated online poker.

Online poker traffic fell by another 1% this week, although this was a smaller decrease than we saw last week. Only half of the top 10 online poker sites lost ground this time.

Online poker traffic overall declined for the ninth week in a row, this time by a full percentage point over last week.
