MiniFTOPS XXII is currently underway at Full Tilt Poker. This MiniFTOPS began on Sunday April 21st, but it’s not too late to join in on the action because the series runs until May 5th, culminating in the MiniFTOPS Main Event. There are 38 events this year and each of them are 1/10th the buy-in of the regular FTOPS series.
MiniFTOPS XXII Schedule
The first 8 events are already in the books, but you can head over to the MiniFTOPS schedule page at FullTiltPoker.com to see the remaining 30 events set to take place in the coming weeks. There are typically 2 or 3 events per day.
Added Prizes
On top of the prize pools, Full Tilt Poker is giving away bonus prizes to those who do well in the MiniFTOPS events.
Everyone who makes the final table of a MiniFTOPS event will receive a limited-edition MiniFTOPS jacket, while the winner of each event will receive a silver MiniFTOPS jersey and a silver MiniFTOPS avatar on top of the big cash prize.
Leaderboard
Every event you participate in will earn you points on the MiniFTOPS leaderboard. If you finish atop the leaderboard you will win a prize package that includes a custom avatar and entry into all FTOPS XXIII events except the two-day event, which is a huge cash prize.
Featured Tournaments
The two-day event and the main event are really the two staples of the MiniFTOPS tournament series. Here are the details of both of these tournaments:
The Two-Day event has a buy-in of $200 + $16 and is set to take place on the weekend of May 4th and 5th. It is a 6-seater tournament with a very player friendly blind structure that allows players to attempt to build their chips without a lot of pressure from the blinds. There is $400,000 in guaranteed prizes in this tourney.
The Main Event is a $70 + $5 tournament that has a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000. The event takes place on May 5th, starting at 1pm EST.
Value
There isn’t really much added value in the MiniFTOPS other than the big leaderboard prize of free entry into each FTOPS XXIII tournament. The jackets and jerseys are cool prizes for players who do well, but they don’t hold a lot of cash value.
The value really comes in participating in the tournament series with some great tournaments that are different than the typical ones you would find at Full Tilt. I personally get excited for series like this one just because it is different and you do have the chance at some extra prizes and bragging rights.
